Jesus Prayed to Heavenly Father

Jesus taught us to pray: to reverence Heavenly Father, to be grateful, to be forgiving, and to ask for continued blessings and help.

"Our Father which art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. 

Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen." Matthew 6:9-13

Jesus is Kind

Jesus' mother persuaded him to perform his first recorded miracle, that of turning water to wine at a marriage celebration, even though Jesus at first responded to her request by saying, "Woman, what have I to do with thee? mine hour is not yet come."

The First and Great Commandment

Jesus loves Heavenly Father first.

"Master, which is the great commandment in the law?
Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
This is the first and great commandment." Matthew 22:36-38

Jesus Knew His Father's Will

At age twelve, Jesus knew the will of his Heavenly Father and made it his top priority.

"And he said unto them (Mary and Joseph), How is it that ye sought me? wist ye not that I must be about my Father's business?" Luke 2:49

Jesus Grew Through Childhood

As a child, Jesus honored his parents, growing in spirituality, wisdom and grace.

"And the child grew, and waxed strong in spirit, filled with wisdom: and the grace of God was upon him." Luke 2:40

"And he went down with them, and came to Nazareth, and was subject unto them; but his mother kept all these sayings in her heart." Luke 2:51

Jesus Was Born Like Us

The Only Begotten Son of God was born of Mary, just as each of us was born of a mother.

"And so it was, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered.
And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn." Luke 2:6-7

Jesus is Creative

Heavenly Father and Jesus create an eternal round of big ideas, innovation, and follow-through.

"In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth." Genesis 1:1

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 
The same was in the beginning with God.
All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made." John 1:1-3
